Abstract: The article offers the author’s reflection on aspects of death penalty in the U.S. The author narrates his fieldtrip experience, along with his students, at the Central Prison’s death house and execution in North Carolina. She comments that the fieldtrip, which is part of the student’s fifteen-week study of the nation’s system of capital punishment, influences the student’s opposition towards the practice.
